Do not wait for your scheduled service if you notice any of these:
1. Water tastes different or smells odd If your purified water has developed a slight smell or unfamiliar taste, your carbon filter is exhausted. This is the most common sign and most people ignore it for months.
2. Water flow has slowed down significantly A slow trickle from your RO tap means your sediment filter is clogged or your membrane is getting blocked. Your purifier is working harder than it should.
3. The purifier is making unusual noise A humming, gurgling, or clicking sound that wasn’t there before usually points to a pressure issue or a failing pump.
4. Water is leaking from the unit or connections Even a small drip from the pipes or filter housing should be addressed immediately. Leaks get worse quickly and can damage your kitchen wall or cabinet.
5. Your TDS meter shows high output readings If you have a TDS meter and your purified water is showing above 150 TDS consistently, your RO membrane needs replacement. Pure output should ideally be between 30 to 80 TDS.
